Indian Cave State Park, Nebraska

Alone

Indian Cave State Park is near the right bank of the Missouri River 15 miles south of Brownville, Nebraska.  My wife, Nancy, and I took a day trip there on Saturday in the Subaru.  Yes, I left Lucy behind for this trip.  Sorry Lucy but I didn’t need to camp out – in fact the low temperature forecast was 10°.  Nancy and I drove through the park and stopped at a couple places to hike.  We walked up the wooden stairs to the caves but they’re all marked up by kids; not exactly a photography or painting subject.  We drove to the river and watched the ice water silently flowing, flowing, flowing. The trails were good and we checked out the RV campground for a future visit when it’s warmer.
