This charming painting was done on site by me using very wet watercolor paint. My easel was set up in a horizontal position so the brushed on pigment and water could sit and the colors mingle in an abstract way. I began with a penciled drawing which helped identify where loose watercolor paint was placed. As the board dried with the background placed, I was able to control the detail for shadows, lines, and foreground elements.
